The Institute of Culinary Education in New York seeks an Assistant Director of Career Services to lead the office, drive student success, and oversee externship placement and employment outcomes. You will supervise advisors, coordinate data reporting, and partner with employers to expand opportunities across campus locations.
You will guide strategic planning, ensure compliance with accrediting standards, and manage a designated cohort from progression through graduation.

Reporting to the National Director of Career and Student Services is responsible for operations within the Office of Career Services, including career planning and development opportunities, individual counseling, externship planning and development.
The Assistant Director of Career Services is also responsible for guiding the collection and analysis of data on a wide range of institutional activities for internal and external constituents and producing required periodic reports and special studies.
The Assistant Director of Career Services partners closely with the National Director of Career Services to support the strategic direction, daily operations, and performance outcomes of the department across campus(es). This role provides leadership to the Career Services team while also maintaining direct responsibility for a designated cohort of students, ensuring high-quality advising, externship placement, and employment outcomes. The Assistant Director plays a critical role in driving student success, employer engagement, and compliance with institutional and accrediting standards.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
PAY RANGE: $34.62 - $40.38 (based on experience)
The position is full-time and requires flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts, according to department rotation, which is set in advance.
