Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s Department of Social and Cultural Analysis is seeking an Administrative Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for the department’s administrative, financial, facilities, and compliance functions on UT's main campus.

You will oversee daily operations, budget management, procurement, records administration, and policy implementation, while liaising with university stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; at least 5 years of experience in administrative operations management within a large organization.
  • Strong financial administration skills, including budget drafting and procurement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; high attention to detail and organizational ability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the department’s administrative, financial, facilities, and compliance functions.
  • Oversee daily operations and budget management for the department.
  • Review internal processes to ensure compliance with university, state, and federal policies.
  • Coordinate procurement, contracts, and vendor management.
  • Serve as liaison with the Dean’s Office and central university offices.
  • Guide staff and lead multiple administrative projects as assigned.
