Job description

Administrative Leads are engaged in administrative support and provide direction to multiple administrative staff. They are responsible for coordinating all administrative support operations across a large staff. They oversee others performing administrative tasks, including the assignment of work, with responsibility for approving timesheets and coordinating performance management. They have input into, but are not the final decision-makers for, employment-related decisions involving compensation, discipline, or termination.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and oversee the activities of other administrative employees to maximize operational efficiency within the unit.
  2. Provide executives with input and insight into the performance of administrative employees.
  3. Make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  4. Perform a variety of more complex administrative duties requiring a broad understanding of organizational operations, procedures, and personnel.
  5. Act as point person on special projects as assigned.
  6. Handle confidential and sensitive material appropriately.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: At least three years of administrative office support experience.
  • Licensure: None required.
Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary role involving extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and programs.
