VulcanForms Inc. seeks a Sr.

Manufacturing Process Development Engineer, Consumer, to own the end-to-end framework that translates customer designs into repeatable high-performance parts on our advanced production lines. You will bridge material science and high-volume digital production, optimizing laser parameters, print layouts, and post-print processing to ensure mechanical, aesthetic, and metallurgical integrity of parts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in process development or metallurgical engineering in high-precision manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of SPC data and DOEs to establish repeatable windows.
• Deep knowledge of material behavior and microstructural evolution.
• Experience interfacing with design and applications teams for manufacturability.
• Analytical, structured problem solving with cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Process Ownership: define and optimize the 3D digital manufacturing workflow.
• Recipe & Parameter Development: develop thermal recipes and laser parameters for performance.
• Data-Driven Optimization: conduct DOEs and analyze process capability to reduce scrap.
• Defect & Root Cause Analysis: lead investigations and implement CAPA actions.
• DFAM Partnership: collaborate on DFAM reviews of CAD geometries and post-processing.
