Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking an Engineering Technician ET4 in Hampton, VA to advance additive manufacturing production. You will perform hands-on operation, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of metal AM systems and post-processing equipment, mentoring junior technicians.

The role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to develop repeatable processes, create work instructions, and ensure equipment readiness while maintaining safety

Competenze

• Associate's Degree required with 6+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with additive manufacturing (LPBF, Wire DED) preferred
• Ability to interpret GD&T and engineering drawings
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills

• Operate and maintain metal AM systems and post-processing equipment
• Lead troubleshooting of equipment, processes, and parts
