Job summary

HII Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking personnel for production sheet metal fabrication and related tasks in a fast-paced shipbuilding environment. You will fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal components in accordance with blueprints and specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with related experience; an associate's degree or apprentice program is valued. Candidates may need certification and must be able to work across multiple shifts on-site in a

Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, install and repair production sheet metal products and equipment per blueprints and specs.
Set up and operate fabricating machinery; shape metal using anvils, blocks or forms; weld and solder as required.
Inspect assemblies for conformance to specifications and monitor quality using standard processes.
