Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. Newport News Shipbuilding division seeks an Engineering Technician ET4 to advance additive manufacturing production.

Lead hands-on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of metal AM systems and post-processing equipment, while guiding other technicians and contributing to process improvements. The role requires an Associate's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Experience with LPBF or metal AM technologies preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Operate and lead day-to-day AM machine operation and post-processing
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technicians
• Develop and improve operating procedures and work instructions
• Support quality assurance activities including documentation and inspection
