Job summary

General Motors AV Software Organization in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an ADAS/AV Platform Senior Software Verification Engineer to define, implement, and optimize system testing for the ADAS platform.

You will design high-coverage test strategies, build HIL/SIL/VIL environments, and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and industry standards while collaborating with software/hardware teams to drive quality and safety throughout vehicle development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electronics, CS, EE, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional technical experience.
• 3+ years in Software Verification and Validation.
• Strong programming in Python, CAPL, Vehicle Spy and Robot Framework.
• Good understanding of CAN and Ethernet networks.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools like Wireshark, CANoe/CANalyzer, INCA, RAD Galaxy.
• Ability to translate requirements into test scenarios or scripts for vehicle simulations.
• Flexible, dependable, self-initiative, quick to learn new skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to operate test vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-coverage testing for the ADAS/AV platform.
• Analyze diagnostics from a full-vehicle perspective for triaging and debugging.
• Build and maintain HIL, SIL, and VIL testing environments.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, SOTIF, FMVSS 111, and FMVSS 127.
• Collaborate with Software Infra and application teams on test cases.
• Work with software and hardware teams to debug Linux/QNX ADAS/AV software.
• Create test automation frameworks and scripts.
• Conduct test result analysis including FMEA and root-cause analysis.
• Assist in issue triaging, log analysis, and troubleshooting.
