Job summary

Astemo Americas, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Engineer with an M.Sc./Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, CS, Robotics, or related field to advance ADAS and automated driving technologies. You will work on image processing, AI, sensors, and algorithms, collaborating with teams in Japan and the USA.

The role emphasizes strong programming in C++ and/or Python, effective communication, and rigorous test design, validation strategies, and technical writing.

Qualifications

• M Sc./Ph.D. in mechanical, electrical, CS, robotics or related engineering field.
• PhD preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years with Masters, minimum 1+ years with PhD in relevant industrial experience.
• ADS/ADAS knowledge required.
• Strong image processing and ML knowledge required.
• Proficient in C++ and Python.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Astemo teams in Japan and the USA.
• Create concepts, design algorithms, test scenarios, and validation strategies.
• Perform experiments and data analysis to improve ADAS/AD systems.
• Plan and execute complex system analyses and troubleshoot issues.
• Publish technical papers and patents when appropriate.
