Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to manage Software AG ADABAS/Natural environments in the United States. The role covers database upgrades, tuning, space management, backups, disaster recovery, and on-call support for multiple clients.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of ADABAS/Natural experience, strong documentation practices, and the ability to work in a large 24x7 multi-database environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of professional experience in Software AG ADABAS/Natural and related products for administration and systems programming support.
• Extensive experience with best practices of software management, maintenance, and documentation.
• Configure and manage Software AG ADABAS and related products such as Natural.
• SME in the topics of: ADABAS database administration, NATURAL Security, Fast Path.
• Database design and Defining FDT and DDMs.
• Performance tuning and log archive/change accumulation utilities.
• Knowledge of ADARUN Parameters and Buffer pools.
• Protection logging and Command Logging.
• Policies and procedures for database management, disaster recovery, security, maintenance, and utilization.
• Reviewing new versions of Software AG ADABAS and related products for functionality.

Responsibilities

• Perform ADABAS/Natural database upgrades and tuning.
• Administer backups, space monitoring, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support in rotation.
• Document tasks and adhere to change management policy.
• Support client onboarding and ongoing performance optimization.
