Job summary

The role requires directing rate filings, mentoring actuarial staff, and representing the company with rate bureaus and regulatory bodies. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics or actuarial science with rigorous analytical training.
• Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society required, Fellowship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of rate filings with exhibits and documentation.
• Develop, direct and coach staff, set objectives and monitor performance.
• Lead communication with staff and encourage open dialogue in meetings and 1:1s.
• Monitor rate bureaus and regulator agencies for changes and developments.
• Stay informed on reserving, ratemaking and capital modeling methods.
• Represent the company in external committees to enhance actuarial knowledge.
• Present recommendations to leadership and senior management on rate, reserve and capital issues.
