Pacific Life Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Actuary - Life Statutory Valuation to join our Enterprise Valuation team. This on-site role is four days per week in Newport Beach, CA with one remote day, plus relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

You’ll join a six-person Enterprise Valuation group, collaborating with actuaries and analysts to modernize valuation processes, enhance modeling, and deliver insightful quarterly reserve analyses across business lines.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, computer science, finance, mathematics, or a related field.
• FSA designation.
• 6+ years relevant experience.
• Prophet, Excel, AI, Snowflake.
• Knowledge of Life Statutory Valuation, VM-20 and Pre PBR Valuation standards.

Aufgaben

• Bring our quarterly reserve analysis forward with additional insights, identification of drivers, and explanation of movements for various audiences.
• Assist with quarterly valuation work in Prophet.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for further automation and operational excellence.
• Enhance our policy audit tools by building off of existing frameworks or coming up with independent ideas to satisfy internal stakeholders, regulators, and auditors.
• Work with modeling, data, reinsurance, other Valuation teams to enhance models, validate changes, and improve the overall modeling.
• Collaborate with and upskill junior members of the team.
