Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking a senior insurance and actuarial domain expert to join a hybrid Bay Area engagement with a leading AI lab. You will review insurance knowledge work tasks and model outputs, and craft instruction specs and golden solutions that define correctness.

You will also design benchmarks to deepen domain coverage and help calibrate standards with researchers, while working on-site with client teams several days a week. 6-month engagement, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Credentials: actuarial credential (FSA, ASA, FCAS, or ACAS) or active state license.
• 4+ years of substantive insurance experience.
• Genuine domain depth in at least one area (life, health, P&C, etc.).
• Clear seniority progression with ownership of a book or portfolio.
• Hands-on AI fluency and use of LLMs in professional work.
• Availability to commit to 40 hours per week for a 6-month engagement.
• Bay Area living and on-site requirement; relocation at own cost if not local.
• Excellent written communication and ability to give precise, structured feedback.

Responsibilities

• Data QA and reviews of insurance knowledge work tasks and model outputs.
• Write instruction specs and golden solutions for insurance problems.
• Design benchmarks and domain-specific evaluation sets with the research team.
• Calibrate standards with client researchers and translate tacit judgment into explicit criteria.
