Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company seeks a Senior Actuary – Filings Transformation Leader to drive a multi-year transformation of rate filings across Commercial Lines, E&S, Specialty, and Agribusiness. You will lead a team, partner with Legal, Pricing, Technology, and regulators, and translate complex analyses into actionable guidance.

The role emphasizes automation, data-driven insights, and cross-functional influence. FCAS and 8+ years of P&C actuarial experience are required.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with P&C actuarial work and regulatory filings.
• FCAS designation required for filing signatory responsibilities.
• Ability to connect actuarial judgment with data, technology, and business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead current-state filings capability and define a long-term transformation roadmap.
• Direct a team of actuarial associates on filings/reporting and implementation work.
• Partner across Pricing, Legal, Product, Government Relations, Technology and other teams to improve efficiency and regulatory responsiveness.
• Identify opportunities to use automation, AI, and modern analytical tools to scale filing information into insights.
• Establish governance and peer-review practices to ensure actuarial standards across portfolios.
• Translate actuarial analysis into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
