Job summary

Centene Corporation seeks a Senior Actuary to conduct analysis, pricing, and risk assessment, supporting the Risk Adjustment team through data analytics and modeling. The role blends actuarial expertise with data validation, coding, and process automation in a fully remote setup across Eastern/Central time zones.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years actuarial experience with ASA or 5+ with FSA, MAAA membership, and strong proficiency in SQL, SAS, and Snowflake.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required; 7+ years actuarial experience with ASA or 5+ years with FSA; MAAA membership.
• Fellow or Associate in Society of Actuaries and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries required
• Healthcare actuarial experience preferred, Medicaid experience advantageous but not required

Responsibilities

• Run and analyze market-level results using the CDPS+RX or other similar risk adjustment models
• Act as the team’s point of contact for an assigned group of markets
• Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes
• Develop probability tables based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information
• Determine equitable basis for distributing money for insurance benefits
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards
