Job summary

Allianz Commercial seeks an Actuarial Expert in Chicago for senior reserve work across IFRS 17, with collaboration across underwriting, claims and pricing teams. The role combines independent analysis with global stakeholder engagement and guidance for junior colleagues.

The position requires 8+ years in P&C reserving, ACAS, and strong data skills. Hybrid work is offered with a base pay around a competitive range and total compensation package including incentives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years business experience in P&C reserving.
• ACAS certification held.
• Knowledge of IFRS 17 and IFRS 4 basics.
• Strong analytical ability and pattern recognition.
• Able to present to C-Suite and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with data, reporting and ESG topics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate loss reserves for IFRS 17 basis.
• Support normalization of loss ratio and validate reserves.
• Assist monthly closings and present to Loss Reserve Committee.
• Drive process innovation to improve forecast quality and predictability.
• Peer review and mentor junior colleagues.
