Job summary

OneDigital’s Health & Benefits actuarial team seeks an experienced Actuarial Director to guide client deliverables, manage junior actuaries, and present financial insights to executives. You will shape actuarial models, oversee risk analyses, and lead cross-functional projects with senior stakeholders.

The role emphasizes development of tools, standard methodologies, and a data-driven approach to optimize client spend and risk exposure, with opportunities to engage directly with mid-management

Qualifications

• Expert analytical skills – experience in data analysis or financial modeling.
• Creative and consultative approach with an interest in thinking outside the box.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven project management skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Experience presenting technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Strong presentation skills and consulting project experience – translate results into actionable insights.
• Deep understanding of health insurance, medical stop loss, reinsurance, and ancillary employee benefit products.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and oversees execution of client data and analytics strategies.
• Conceives, plans and conducts actuarial studies.
• Ensures a financial forecasting system with accurate projections.
• Maintains and reports financial and statistical information to monitor trends.
• Leads client deliverables and internal reviews.
• Mentors staff within the department and supports hiring decisions.
