Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to deliver technical data support and innovative solutions for actuarial financial data systems. You will translate business requirements into data-driven app features and ensure data quality and accuracy.

You will lead data mart maintenance, perform monthly validations, develop claim data builds, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to support audits and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages the maintenance and optimization of the Actuarial Systems Data Marts.
• Performs monthly data refreshes, financial validations and QA checks to support reporting/analytics.
• Independently analyze business problems; develop recommendations, implement solutions, and communicate impacts.
• Develop decision support solutions including medical and pharmacy claim financial data builds, data extracts, reports, and data marts.
• Ensures auditable, snapshotted financial detail data for audits.
• Establishes vendor and inter-departmental relationships for data accuracy.
• Keeps abreast of changes and implements actions to actuarial systems/processes.
• Serves as lead for multiple application areas on data definitions, file structures, and business rules.
• Provides technical leadership and application expertise to project teams.
• Plans and liaises with business areas during development and implementation.
• Provides detailed configuration expertise to customers and partners; communicates and presents as needed.
• Provides analytical support for projects to achieve business goals.
