Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Actuarial Support Analyst to join our Actuarial team. You will design and maintain complex financial models to evaluate cost-saving initiatives in the prior authorization process and provide insights to senior leadership.

The role is remote-first with travel to Boston for onboarding and occasional meetings. You will work with data analytics, financial modeling, and clinical stakeholders to drive cost containment and sustained improvements.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in healthcare analytics, cost containment, or similar roles in the healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, advanced Excel).
• Strong understanding of healthcare cost drivers and medical claims data.
• Experience with data cleaning, data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with prior authorization and utilization management data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex financial models to track cost-saving initiatives and provide updates to leadership.
• Perform advanced data analysis to assess prior authorization and claims trends and cost drivers.
• Lead the design and development of financial models to quantify impact of cost-saving initiatives.
• Use statistical and data visualization tools to identify trends and anomalies in claims data.
• Prepare detailed executive reports and presentations on cost-saving achievements and potential.
• Act as advisor to leadership, providing strategic insights on cost-saving strategies.
• Work with clinical and customer success teams to understand authorization challenges and offer recommendations.
• Lead post-implementation assessments to measure impact and sustain improvements.
