Job summary

Ally Financial in Detroit is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to develop and support a robust reserving framework for Ally Insurance. You will lead projects from start to finish, perform advanced analytics, and clearly communicate results to Management and Senior Leadership.

Ideal candidates will have ACAS progress, 4+ years in actuarial or data science, strong communication, and programming skills in R (SQL/Python helpful).

Qualifications

ACAS or near ACAS and 5+ Casualty actuarial exams required.
4+ years in actuarial or data science roles; exposure to ratemaking or reserving is a plus.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Programming in R required (SQL useful).
Bachelor’s degree in related field; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

Develop and support a robust reserving framework for insurance, including standard techniques and advanced modeling.
Lead, develop, and communicate advanced analytics to Management and Senior Leadership.
Collaborate across product development, pricing, and reserving processes.
Develop reserve indications, ranges, and perform advanced analytics.
