Job summary

MS Reinsurance, a global reinsurer with offices in Miami, seeks a Pricing Analyst to support the Pricing Actuarial team. You will assist with identifying pricing model requirements, calibrating models, and embedding actuarial methods.

The role includes data manipulation, case pricing, and monitoring rate movements, while collaborating on projects across the pricing group. You will work closely with actuaries and underwriters, contributing to pricing solutions and ensuring robust pricing

Qualifications

• University Degree in math, computer science, physics or similar.
• At least 2 CAS exams passed and making good progress towards ACAS/FCAS.
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with reinsurance pricing preferred.
• Experience with ISO/Verisk data products preferred.
• Strong quantitative analytical skills.
• Strong IT skills particularly MS Excel, VBA and SQL experience desirable.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (MS Power BI or QlikView) and programming (R or Python) desirable.
• Must be well organized with the ability to use initiative and self-manage whilst being able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate actuarial input for underwriting decisions and targets.
• Produce draft pricing results with explanations of cost drivers and movements.
• Review and validate rate change calculations within pricing framework.
• Develop understanding of pricing models and contribute to development of new models.
• Assist in production and validation of portfolio pricing statistics.
• Collaborate with pricing and actuarial teams on approaches and analyses.
• Support other pricing team activities.
