Job summary

The Dubois Continuum of Care Community is seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to enhance residents’ well-being by planning engaging activities, art classes, exercise programs, and social events that promote socialization and cognitive stimulation.

Responsibilities include coordinating programs, collaborating with care teams, preparing and setting up activities safely, and documenting resident participation to guide future planning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with seniors or community-based organizations preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating activities to suit diverse resident interests.
• Developing programs to promote socialization and cognitive stimulation.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address resident needs.
• Assisting with setup and safety of activities.
