Job summary

The Dubois Continuum of Care Community is seeking a compassionate Activity Assistant to plan, organize, and implement engaging activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and residents' well-being.

You will work with interdisciplinary teams, lead arts and exercise programs, and help create a safe, inclusive environment for seniors while documenting participation and progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with seniors or in a community-based organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate activities, such as art classes, exercise programs, and social events, to cater to the diverse interests and abilities of residents.
• Develop and implement innovative programs to promote mental and physical stimulation, socialization, and community engagement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address individualized needs and preferences of residents.
• Assist with the preparation and setup of activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
• Document activities and resident participation to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
