Job summary

RegalCare at Blackstone Valley in Northbridge, MA is seeking an compassionate Activity/Recreation Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life through engaging activities. You will plan, organize, and lead daily programs, encouraging participation and fostering community within the Activities Department.

The role involves coordinating events, assisting with transportation, maintaining supplies, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily activity programs.
• Encourage resident participation in individual and group activities.
• Coordinate special events, holiday celebrations, outings, and entertainment.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Maintain activity supplies and assist with decorating for seasonal events.
• Document resident participation and communicate changes to the Activities Director.
• Ensure activities are conducted safely and inclusively.
• Assist with transporting residents to and from activities.
• Support the Activities Director with department projects and events.
• Perform other duties to support the Activities Department.
