Job summary

Majestic Care of Cedar Village is seeking an Activities Assistant to organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions and small/large group activities. You will use therapy-inspired approaches like pet, music, and art therapy to engage residents and foster a sense of community.

This role supports decorating for events, developing monthly calendars, and recording activity attendance, while aligning with Majestic Care’s mission to provide

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Activity Assistant Certification preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the environment to provide both comfort and stimulation to the resident population.
• Foster a sense of community within the community environment.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Utilize a variety of models to achieve individualized programming such as pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy, etc.
• Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for special events and seasonal parties.
• Develop and post monthly calendar as a planning resource for residents and families.
• Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.
