Majestic Care of Whitehall seeks an Activities Assistant to coordinate and participate in activity programming for residents. The role emphasizes delivering engaging, person-centered activities and fostering community within the facility.

You will support diverse programming, including one-to-one and small/large group activities, and help with events, calendars, and staff coordination in a compassionate health care setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Activity Assistant Certification preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Organize and participate in person-specific activity programming including one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations.
• Utilize the environment to provide comfort and stimulation to residents.
• Foster a sense of community within the living environment.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Use models like pet, music, and art therapy to support individualized programming.
• Assist with decorating for events and seasonal parties.
• Develop and post monthly calendars for residents and families.
• Engage residents in recreational programs and support those confined to rooms.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.

Position Overview:

The Activities Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the environment to provide both comfort and stimulation to the resident population.
• Foster a sense of community within the community environment.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Utilize a variety of models to achieve individualized programming such as pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy, etc.
• Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for special events and seasonal parties.
• Develop and post monthly calendar as a planning resource for residents and families.
• Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Activity Assistant Certification preferred
• CNA certification preferred
