Job summary

Majestic Care of Whitehall is seeking an Activities Assistant to organize and participate in activity programming tailored to individual residents, including one-to-one interventions and group activities. You will use a variety of therapies and events to engage residents and support their well-being.

Responsibilities include decorating for events, posting monthly calendars, and maintaining activity records, with opportunities to promote community involvement and volunteer efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Activity Assistant Certification preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations.
• Utilize the environment to provide comfort and stimulation to residents.
• Foster a sense of community within the environment.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Utilize models such as pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy for individualized programming.
• Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for events and seasonal parties.
• Develop and post monthly calendar as a planning resource for residents and families.
• Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.
