Job summary

Majestic Care of Cedar Village seeks an Activities Assistant to organize and participate in person-specific activity programming for residents. The role includes one-to-one interventions, small group and large group activities, and using therapies such as pet, music, and art to tailor programming.

Responsibilities

• Organize and participate in person-specific activity programming.
• Lead one-to-one interventions, small group and large group activities.
• Utilize models such as pet, music or art therapy to tailor programming.
• Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for events and seasonal parties.
• Develop and post monthly calendar as a planning resource for residents and families.
• Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.
• Foster a sense of community within the community environment.
