Job summary

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate interest in working with a senior population.
• Pass criminal history check.
• Must have either an Activity Director Certification or at least 2 years of full-time activity experience in the last five years.
• Must express themselves in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Take photos of daily activities and upload them.
• Assess residents for interests and plan activity approaches.
• Maintain records of attendance and care plans for activities.
• Develop activity goals and integrate approaches with the Resident Care Plan.
• Ensure residents participate in group and individual activities weekly.
• Evaluate program effectiveness based on resident outcomes.
• Lead and supervise activities according to the Activity Calendar.
• Identify resources to support the recreation program.
• Plan schedules and create a monthly activities calendar.
• Recruit and train volunteers and manage volunteer programs.
• Attend monthly Activity Director meetings and complete CE requirements.
