Job summary

The Symphony of Tri-Cities in Bay City, MI seeks an Activity Assistant to implement the facility's activities and events under the supervision of the Director of Activities, promoting life-enriching programs while complying with state and federal guidelines.

You will work with residents, coordinate with volunteers, transport residents to programs, and help gather supplies, ensuring safety, dignity, and person-centered care in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with seniors or group activities preferred.
• Knowledge of arts and crafts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement activity program per monthly calendar as assigned by the Director of Activities.
• Observe and report residents' attendance, participation, and behavior.
• Transport residents to and from programs and assist with community trips.
• Prepare materials and equipment for programs.
• Coordinate with nursing, maintenance, or other departments as needed.
• Encourage resident participation and uphold resident rights.
• Attend staff meetings and ongoing education.
• Maintain safety and infection control practices.
