Job summary

The Ivy at Berkeley, part of Oakmont Management Group, is seeking an Activity Assistant (Part Time) to plan and lead engaging activities for residents, supporting independence and well-being.

Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, promoting participation, and ensuring safety. No prior experience required; training provided. Benefits include medical, vacation, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preference: 1 year experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license; Class B/C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Able to operate a PC and MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director to create a lively social atmosphere and promote resident participation through activities, excursions, events, guest speakers and classes.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively and tactfully with residents, families, visitors, coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
