Job summary

Long Term Care Facility in Auglaize County is seeking an energetic, compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. You will help plan and lead daily resident activities, games, crafts, outings, and other recreational programs to keep residents engaged and connected.

Ideal candidates have experience in senior living or similar settings, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in long-term care, senior living, activities, recreation, or a similar setting preferred.
• Friendly, outgoing, creative, and comfortable engaging with residents.
• Dependable with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Weekend and holiday availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading daily resident activities and programs.
• Encourage resident participation and engagement.
• Help with games, crafts, music, social events, holiday celebrations, and special programs.
• Assist with resident outings and group activities.
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents as needed.
• Help prepare activity areas and supplies.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Support the Activities Director with additional department needs.
