Job summary

Serving Seniors is seeking an Activities and Volunteer Coordinator in San Diego County to implement and support activities across multiple sites. You will manage the volunteer program, coordinate events, and ensure smooth delivery of educational, music, art, crafts, drama, and exercise programs.

Requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years with coordinating events and volunteers in nonprofit settings. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years coordinating events and volunteers in non-profit or public sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong communication skills.
• Ability to speak publicly and present to groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee volunteer program: onboarding, recruitment, placement, recognition and retention.
• Maintain volunteer database and generate reports.
• Represent Serving Seniors at community and volunteer fairs.
• Coordinate activities across multiple sites and ensure smooth execution.
• Secure, replenish, and manage equipment and supplies for activities.
• Create calendars, promotional flyers, emails, and other written communications.
