Serving Seniors is seeking an Activities and Volunteer Coordinator to implement and support activities at multiple San Diego sites. You will back the Activities and Volunteer Team with educational, music, art, crafts, drama, and exercise programs, and ensure the volunteer program runs smoothly.

The role requires coordinating volunteers, managing the VOMO system, and representing the organization at outreach events. A strong focus on seniors’ needs and safety is essential.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience coordinating events, activities and volunteers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of creating simple visuals.

Mansioni

• Volunteer Coordination and Oversight: coordinate, onboard, recruit, and recognize volunteers.
• Maintain the volunteer database and generate reports using VOMO.
• Represent Serving Seniors at community outreach and volunteer fairs.
• Activities Coordination: implement scheduled activities across multiple sites in San Diego.
• Manage equipment and supplies, support clients and volunteers, and handle issues as they arise.
• Track participation, keep monthly activity records, and issue incentives to boost engagement.
• Communicate upcoming activities clearly to staff and clients, and adjust programs as needed.
• Develop calendars, flyers, emails, and other written communications.
• Support special events and perform related duties as assigned.
