Job summary

Middle River Health and Rehab is seeking an dedicated Activity Director to plan and lead recreational and therapeutic activities for residents at our South Range, WI facility. You will develop programs, coordinate events, and work with the care team to promote residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.

We value compassionate professionals with strong organizational skills and 1–3 years of activity-direction experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in activity direction or related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with seniors

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement activity programs catering to diverse resident needs (social, recreational, educational, therapeutic)
• Coordinate and lead activities (arts/crafts, music, exercise, entertainment)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to identify resident needs and preferences
• Design and implement special events and celebrations for holidays and occasions
• Monitor and evaluate activity programs and adjust as needed
• Maintain records of participation and feedback
• Develop and manage activity budgets
