You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, design events, monitor outcomes, and manage activity budgets while maintaining records. A high school diploma is required; a recreation therapy or gerontology degree is preferred, with 1–3 years in activity direction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in activity direction or related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement activity programs for residents across social, recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities.
• Coordinate and lead activities including arts and crafts, music, exercise, and entertainment programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to tailor activities to resident needs and preferences.
• Design and implement special events and celebrations for holidays and occasions.
• Monitor effectiveness of programs and adjust as needed; maintain records of participation and feedback.
• Develop and manage activity budgets and resource allocation.
