Job summary

AgeWell Senior Living is seeking an Activities Coordinator for a Part-Time, hourly position in Melbourne, FL. The role supports the Salus Lifestyle Coach by delivering a diverse program of activities for Residents, with emphasis on cultural, spiritual, physical, social and intellectual engagement.

Responsibilities include coordinating programs, leading activities, and assisting with transportation and events.

Qualifications

• Experienced in activity planning, preferably with seniors.
• Experienced and interested in working with seniors.
• Possesses creative activity skills.
• Demonstrates organizational skills.
• Mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality.
• Driver requirements: State driver license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provides outstanding service to Residents, families, and visitors.
• Facilitates socialization among Residents.
• Invites Residents to participate in planned activities.
• Coordinates joint programs with other staff.
• Leads majority of programs.
• Flexible schedule for events and evenings/weekends.
• Trains and supports volunteers for activities.
• Plans decorations for events and holidays.
• Coordinates family functions and weekly excursions.
• Assists with transportation for activities and trips.
• Drives company vehicle for activities when certified.
• Supports Salus Lifestyle Coach to ensure smooth operation.
