Job summary

Lumilens is seeking an experienced Senior/Staff Process Engineer in San Jose to lead optical active alignment for transceiver production. You will operate and qualify alignment equipment, develop alignment algorithms, and oversee epoxy dispensing and curing while collaborating with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure high yields.

The role requires 5+ years in optical active alignment and a strong background in fixture design and equipment control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with optical active alignment for transceivers or related photonic devices.
• Experience with active alignment processes and equipment for optics such as FAU, lens, isolator, PIC chip, etc.
• Proficiency in development or optimization of alignment algorithms and fixture design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize optical active alignment processes for transceiver production.
• Operate, set up, and maintain active alignment equipment, including equipment control and qualification.
• Develop, implement, and optimize alignment algorithms.
• Oversee epoxy dispensing and curing processes.
• Design and refine fixtures to improve alignment processes.
