Job summary

Lumilens in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced Active Alignment Process Engineer to lead optical active alignment for transceiver production. You will operate and maintain alignment equipment, develop alignment algorithms, and ensure high yield.

You will own equipment qualification, epoxy dispensing/curing processes, and fixture design, collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and engineering teams to push performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with optical active alignment for transceivers or related photonics devices.
• Familiarity with active alignment processes, equipment, and fixtures.
• Experience with equipment buyoff and qualification activities.
• Knowledge of epoxy dispensing and curing methods.
• Proficient in developing or optimizing alignment algorithms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, physics, optics, or related field.

• Lead and optimize optical active alignment processes for transceiver production.
• Operate, set up, and maintain active alignment equipment and qualification.
