Job summary

Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. seeks an Acquisition Training Specialist V to lead and deliver enterprise-wide acquisition training. The role maintains training databases, operates the LMS, creates desk guides, and evaluates course feedback to enhance staff readiness.

The position requires expert FAR/DFARS knowledge, Navy/DoD policy experience, and the ability to design comprehensive training strategies; candidates must obtain a security clearance and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain required customer clearance.
• Expert-level experience leading acquisition, procurement, contracting, or federal training programs.
• Expert knowledge of the FAR/DFARS including the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul.
• Experience with NMCARS, OTAs, and construction contracts.
• Design and manage complex training strategies and curriculum frameworks.
• Deep understanding of acquisition processes, procurement policy, and adult learning methodologies.
• Maintaining content in Confluence, Navy ePS, PIEE applications, and Cornerstone LMS.
• Understanding of various acquisition methods and contract types, including commercial and non-commercial acquisitions, fixed-price contracts, and cost-reimbursement contract types.
• Acquisition lifecycle expertise including contract closeout and unliquidated obligation (ULO) modification procedures.

Responsibilities

• Creates acquisition training material, maintains training database, conducts training, responds to Service Desk inquiries that require training refresher, creates desk guides.
• Manages training logistics, advertises training opportunities to stakeholders, operates the LMS, and collects and analyzes training class feedback.
• Digest procurement policy updates from the DON and DOW and create training courses and self-help materials.
• Leads strategy, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of acquisition training programs.
• Serves as senior advisor for training needs, curriculum design, and workforce learning solutions.
• Oversees creation of high-impact training courses, desk guides, self-help tools, videos, job aids, FAQs, and other materials.
• Evaluates policy updates and guides timely training responses.
• Establishes standards for training content quality, LMS usage, and training records management.
• Leads cross-functional collaboration with acquisition leadership, policy teams, system owners, and SMEs.
• Oversees LMS course architecture, catalog, reporting, and data quality.
• Uses feedback and metrics to identify learning gaps and drive improvements.
• Leads major training rollouts related to policy updates, system changes, or workforce initiatives.
• Mentors training specialists across levels.
• Develops executive reports and dashboards on training performance.
