Job summary

Bose Labs is seeking a Senior Acoustic Engineer to help lead efforts that establish and enhance physical reference designs for a variety of wearable applications including audio, noise cancellation and voice related experiences.

In this role, your work will regularly span across multiple projects with a range of goals and deliverables. You will use analytical, empirical and hands‑on methods to solve problems and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, Master’s or PhD strongly preferred in related technical disciplines.
• 10+ years of professional acoustical engineering experience in high-performance audio.
• Strong problem solving, leadership of cross-functional teams, and ability to handle ill-defined problems.
• Deep knowledge of headphone/earbud acoustics, enclosure/porting design, and psychoacoustic evaluation.
• Experience with measurement systems and software for analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross functional engineering teams to prototype and prove new wearable device technologies.
• Define documentation standards for mechanical/acoustical reference designs.
• Create models/tools to predict acoustical behavior and support rapid evaluation.
• Design and execute acoustical experiments; analyze data and synthesize conclusions.
• Collaborate with mechanical, DSP, electrical, and software engineers on end-to-end reference designs.
• Present concepts, results, risks and recommendations in reviews and stakeholder demos.
