Job summary

The State of Indiana's Department of Education seeks an Accounts Payable & Purchasing Manager to oversee AP, purchasing, and asset management. You will process vendor invoices in PeopleSoft Financials and coordinate monthly fund distributions to school corporations.

You'll supervise two AP specialists, ensure compliance with IDOA/SBA policies, and collaborate across Purchasing, Asset Management, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge in contracting, requisitions and purchasing/procurement, accounting, business administration, fiscal management.
• Broad knowledge of state and federal procurement laws, rules, procedures, forms.
• Ability to negotiate contracts and bids.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable, verify and process vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Complete pay cycles in PeopleSoft for payment; monitor batch statuses.
• Approve monthly fund distributions to school corporations; ensure accuracy.
• Supervise two Accounts Payable Specialists.
• Ensure compliance with IDOA/SBA policies.
