LHH is partnering with a growing software development company seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process from invoice receipt through payment
- Review, code, and process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Partner with internal departments to ensure proper approval workflows and expense coding
- Assist with month-end close, including AP accruals and account reconciliations
- Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Support 1099 preparation and year-end reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and improve efficiencies
- Assist with audit requests and special projects as needed
What They're Looking For:
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including full-cycle AP responsibilities
- Prior experience in a technology, software, SaaS, or fast-growing corporate environment preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices
- Experience with ERP systems and automated invoice processing platforms
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and vendor relationship management abilities
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
