Larimer County Department of Human Services is seeking a Senior Accounting Technician to join the Accounting team in Fort Collins, CO. This full-time, in-office role operates Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30, with no remote option. Responsibilities include processing EBT cards, accounts payable, deposits, and maintaining client financial records.

Three professional references are required. The position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service, supporting multiple systems and programs

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while issuing EBT cards to clients.
• Enter and maintain accurate client and financial information in various software systems, including Google Sheets.
• Review, verify, and enter Accounts Payable invoices into the County system.
• Collect client payments, accurately recording transactions and maintaining payment records across multiple software systems.
• Prepare and make daily deposits with accuracy and proper documentation.
• Process EBT mailings as needed.
• Provide backup support to other EBT Cashiers and assist with departmental operations as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling client information, payments, and financial records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic staff member to join our Operations and Organizational Development Division as a Senior Accounting Technician.

The Senior Accounting Technician is part of the Accounting team for the Department of Human Services for Larimer County. The Accounting Team supports Human Services in the following areas: Accounts Payable, Mileage Reimbursements, Travel Reimbursements, Commercial Cards, CSBG/LCF Grants, Payroll, Trusts, EBT Client Cards, CCAP, and CORE.

This is a full time, in office, position, M-F 8:00-4:30, no remote time offered. Three professional references with valid contact information are required to be submitted as part of this application.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing exceptional customer service while issuing EBT cards to clients.

Qualifications

All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.

• Three (3) years of experience maintaining financial and statistical records in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
