Job summary

Larimer County Department of Human Services in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Senior Accounting Technician to join the Accounting Team. This full-time, in-office role supports Accounts Payable, Mileage and Travel Reimbursements, CSBG/LCF Grants, Payroll, and multiple client and financial data systems, including Google Sheets.

Responsibilities include issuing EBT cards, processing invoices, collecting payments, making daily deposits, and maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

Three (3) years of experience maintaining financial and statistical records in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.

Responsibilities

Providing exceptional customer service while issuing EBT cards to clients.
Entering and maintaining accurate client and financial information in various software systems, including Google Sheets.
Reviewing, verifying, and entering Accounts Payable (A/P) invoices into the County system.
Collecting client payments, accurately recording transactions, and maintaining payment records across multiple software systems.
Preparing and making daily deposits while ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Processing EBT mailings as needed.
Providing backup support to other EBT Cashiers and assisting with departmental operations as needed.
Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy when handling client information, payments, and financial records.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
