DISA Global Solutions is seeking a Senior Accounting Supervisor in the Houston area to support the Director of Accounting with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting. The role provides daily supervision to accounting staff, ensures internal controls, and drives process improvements for efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of accounting, GAAP proficiency, and strong Workday ERP experience.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required.
7+ years progressive accounting experience.
GAAP proficiency with complex matters.
Experience with audits and tax consultants.
Supervisory or team-lead experience.
CPA and public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate monthly close activities, prepare and review journal entries, monitor close timelines.
Prepare and review financial statements and subsidiary or acquisition reporting packages.
Research and resolve complex accounting issues and apply GAAP guidance.
Support acquisition accounting and Workday initiatives; assist with system transitions.
Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations and document reconciling items.
Coordinate income and property tax activities with external consultants; support audits.
