The Role

The Senior Accounting Specialistwill overseetheadministration andaccountingofDatacor’s foreign entities, including local statutory compliance, US GAAP conformity, foreign currency translation, consolidation support,andintercompany transactions under Datacor’s transfer pricing studies. Responsibilities also spanstate payroll registrations, the resolution of federal, state, and local tax and payroll notices,month-end close, cash postings and bank reconciliations,payrollandaccounts payable.TheSenior Accounting Specialistwill serve as a key resource for troubleshooting issues within contract transaction data in partnership with the Finance Operations team,complete ad hoc accountingandreporting tasks,andcontinuously identify opportunities to improveaccountingprocesses.The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to completingtasks timely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the administration and accounting of Datacor’s foreign entities
  • Maintain compliance with local tax and statutory reporting and filing requirements in each jurisdiction of the foreign entities.
  • Ensure the foreign entity-level accounting records conform to US GAAP.
  • Prepare foreign currency translations and support the financial consolidation of the foreign entities.
  • Compile and record intercompany costs and revenues in accordance with Datacor’s transfer pricing studies.
  • Coordinate state registrations for new states as payroll operations expand.
  • Own the coordination, processing and resolution of federal, state, and local tax and payroll-related notices.
  • Contribute to month-end close tasks, as assigned.
  • Support cash postings and bank reconciliations, as needed.
  • Assist in the integration of accounting operations for acquired companies.
  • Lead, review and contribute to the preparation of the semi-monthly payroll and related ongoing payroll processes.
  • Assist in the annual audit of the company’s 401(k) plan.
  • Manage the accounts payable process, including review of new vendor onboarding.
  • Administerthe expense reimbursement process.
  • Resolve accounts payable and expense reimbursement escalations.
  • Review variable compensation plans, including performingcalculation validations of the commission software statements.
  • Preparecommissionjournal entriesandreconcilecommission reports to the general ledger.
  • Partner with the Finance Operations team to troubleshoot and resolve issues within contracttransactionsdata, identifyingroot causes and drivingsolutions.
  • Complete ad hoc accounting, reporting and project tasks.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve payroll andotheraccounting processes for accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting.
  • Minimum5years of progressive experience inanaccounting or financial audit role.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity environment with foreignoperations.
  • Familiarity with intercompany accounting and the application of transfer pricing policies.
  • Experience withGAAPconsolidations,foreigncurrency translationsand financial statement preparation.
  • SaaS industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience inprocessingpayrollandaccounts payable is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of multi-state payroll tax registration, filing, and notice resolution.
  • Experience in working with variable compensation plans is a plus.
  • Advanced working knowledge ofMicrosoft Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with a mid-market ERP system and related payroll, commission, or expense management platforms.
  • Experience withautomated accounts payable platforms is a plus.
  • Unyielding ethical standards and integrity.
  • Strong ability to independently lead problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated record of identifying and implementing process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively.
