Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables seeks a Senior Manager, Accounting Operations to own end-to-end operational accounting, including cost accounting, revenue, COGS, inventory, and the general ledger. You will lead month-end close, treasury, and system governance while partnering with Finance, Systems, and business teams to align financial decisions with operational activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA preferred, but not required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial ownership of operational accounting and the close.
• 4+ years leading the close and reviewing complex reconciliations, journal entries, and analyses.
• 4+ years of people management experience, with a track record of developing and holding teams accountable.
• Renewable energy, construction, or other project- and inventory-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own operational accounting across cost accounting, revenue, COGS, inventory, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, AR, AP, and the general ledger, ensuring transactions are GAAP-compliant.
• Lead accounting for project and inventory costs, including accumulation, capitalization, allocations, WIP and inventory movements, COGS recognition, and related reconciliations.
• Oversee revenue recognition, including contract review, journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Lead the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate, timely processing, strong vendor controls, and continuous process improvement.
• Own the monthly close, driving completion within nine business days or less while maintaining accuracy and documentation.
• Set the close calendar, ownership, and dependencies; remove roadblocks and lead retrospectives.
• Review key balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, AP, payment platforms, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, inventory, and revenue-related accounts.
• Collaborate on consolidated financials, management reporting, budget-to-actual analysis, and MD&A.
• Own the accounting systems strategy and governance for Sage Intacct, leading system improvements and data integrity.
• Lead cross-functional system implementations, integrations, testing, training, and change management.
