Job Description And Duties

Under general direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the Senior Accounting Officer (Specialist) performs the Final Voucher analytical duties pertaining to the final cost accounting and reporting of Local (Federal Funded), Local (State Funded) and Capital (State Funding) projects. Responsible for Local Projects Audit responses. Manages and Monitors the Final Voucher email account In-box. Ensures the safeguarding of assets, and compliance with fiscal and accounting policies applicable to the job.

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
