Job summary

Brennan Staffing Group Inc. seeks a Senior Manager of Accounting for a growing private equity-backed software company in Boston. You will lead core accounting operations, financial reporting, and process-improvement initiatives within the Finance organization.

Reporting to the CFO, you will manage close processes and partner with PE stakeholders on performance analyses, while scaling pathways for efficient, compliant financial operations in a dynamic SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA preferred or required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years public accounting; Big 4 experience preferred.
• Strong U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 knowledge.
• Experience in software/SaaS or recurring revenue.
• People management and PE-backed exposure valued.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, FloQast, Adaptive Planning or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for accurate reporting.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, payroll and related functions.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Maintain policies and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Partner with CFO on reviews and performance analyses.
• Prepare management reports for executive decision-making.
• Manage revenue recognition activities under ASC 606 for SaaS streams.
• Assist with acquisition accounting, integrations, and growth initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team; drive scalable processes.
• Coordinate audits and strengthen internal controls; tax compliance support.
